First Lutheran Church is a congregation of just under 1000 members and
is a part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We a
re located on
Main Street in Bottineau, North Dakota. Bottineau is a wonderful little
town with a population of around 2400 residence and is situated in the
center of North Dakota just 12 miles south of the Canadian boarder. We are
a farming community set on the plains just a few miles from the Turtle
Mountains. Our members cross the spectrum in terms of occupations and
ages. Close to 200 of our members are under 20 years of age and just over
200 members are over 60 years of age. Although we refer to our community
as a ‘farming community’, the reality is that we have members that are
bankers, teachers, business leaders, professional and blue collar workers
– we enjoy a great diversity. We are handicap accessible.
