Hi! I’m Katie Nesdahl, and I will be your new
Youth and Family Minister at First Lutheran. This means you’ll
be seeing me in church, at sporting events, concerts, at the
grocery store, maybe even at your home! I’m so excited to meet
you and become involved in this vibrant community.
Bottineau
is a semi-familiar place for me, because Camp Metigoshe has been
a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I was a
camper for many years, and worked for three summers as
counseling and leadership staff. I will be continuing to work
with Metigoshe Ministries during my time here, and can’t wait to
share some of that "adventure anchored in Christ" with this
congregation!
While the Bottineau area has been my home for a few summers,
my other homes are a little further away. I grew up in Sioux
Falls, SD and just graduated with a degree in Psychology from
the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. So, while I’m a
Golden Gopher at heart, I look forward to learning all about the
Bottineau Braves, Stars and Lumberjacks!
The opportunity to serve First Lutheran is an honor and a
blessing, and I would love to meet as many members of this
congregation and community as possible. Whether it’s by stopping
by my office, introducing yourself when we’re filling up our
cars with gas, grabbing a soda together, or waving hello at a
football game…don’t be shy. We are in this adventure together,
so your ideas are always welcome and our conversations will be
appreciated.
Thank you for already being so warm and welcoming. I am
excited to be here and to work, learn and grow with this
congregation – especially the youth and families I’ll be getting
to know so well. Let’s get started!!
God bless,
Katie
